Sony’s RX0 II Premium Ultra-Compact Camera Could Be Vlogging Powerhouse
The world’s “smallest premium ultra-compact camera” is now available for pre-order.
And if you’re a vlogger, it might be something you want to check out.
That’s because the RX0 II records at 4K 30p with a 15.3MP 1″ Exmor RS Stacked CMOS Sensor and a ZEISS Tessar T* 24mm Equivalent f/4 Lens.
The camera also has HFR mode for full HD video up to 960 frames per second.
It’s also water, dust, and shock proof so it’s durable for use in the field.
In fact, BrianSmith.com describes it as a “truly a worry-free camera that can be taken into places that no other camera can go. Measuring just 59mm x 40.5mm x 35mm (12) and weighing just 132g (13), the RX0 II fits easily into a pocket and is ready for whatever the elements can throw at it. It is waterproof (2) up to 10 meters deep, dustproof (2), shockproof (7) up to 2 meters and crushproof (8) up to 200KG force.”
Deputy president of Imaging Products and Services Americas at Sony Electronics Neal Manowitz said of the RX0 II, “With its 1.0 type sensor, ZEISS® lens and multi-camera capability all packed in a compact waterproof body, the original RX0 was designed to enable new forms of creative expression…By adding a 4K internal recording, 180 degree LCD and upgrading many of the still image capabilities on the new RX0 II, we have further built upon this concept, allowing many new and different types of creators – ranging from travel photographers to vloggers – to realize the benefits of such a unique, versatile form factor.”
