Woman battling rare 'suicide disease' says chronic pain condition is 'excruciating'
In January 2018, Amy Pohl was diagnosed with a rare chronic pain condition known as complex regional pain syndrome, or CRPS. As a result she is bedridden and forced to be fed through a feeding tube. CPRS, according to the Mayo Clinic, is a 'form of chronic pain that usually affects an arm or leg.' CRPS is dubbed the 'suicide disease,' as those who suffer from it have been known to take their own life in a desperate attempt to find relief.
