#your_best_birds: Fantastic Birds Photography by Robert S. Parker

Spectacular portraits of birds by Robert S. Parker, a talented 69-years old photographer, and birdwatcher currently based in Ontario, Canada. Robert focuses mainly on birds, wildlife, and nature photography. His introduction to nature was in the North West of England. “As a young lad, it was there on the shores and fields that I honed my bird identification skills”, Parker says. Robert has almost 16K fans on Instagram.

In 1973, at the age of 22, I immigrated to Canada and my passion as a birder continued. It was not until late 2013 that I decided I would try my hand at capturing these wonderful creatures with a camera rather than just a tick on my life list. This was prompted by my wife Lori, who suggested that I should upgrade my point and shoot to a better camera for our honeymoon trip to Alaska. After a bit of research, I chose the Nikon D5100 with an 18-200mm lens and enrolled at the local community college on how to use my new pride and joy.
